About me:

Well, that's an auspicious way to start my introduction: An outright, baldfaced lie. If you're reading this, you already know me, and I assume that we're on speaking terms.

Let's talk instead about my books and reviews. A piece of information that you might (or might not) have about me is that I'm a voracious reader. You might even like some of my choices. There's one caveat though - these are not the newest, latest, greatest Oprah-recommended masterpieces that you've heard about. My budget can't keep up with my reading habits, so I reread my books, over and over and over. Most of the books you see profiled here are either books by my favorite authors, or books that caught my eye in an airport bookstore (or Half Priced Books), and made the cut, earning a place on my overcrowded shelves.

You may have heard of some of the books, or at least the authors. My first review that I've published is "The Other Side of Midnight", by Sidney Sheldon. If you're a reader, you've seen Sidney Sheldon books your whole life, but I'd wager that the majority of people who will be reading this blog (all 3 of you!) haven't ever picked one up.

If I can influence just one person to pick up just one book, the effort that I've had to put into this blog thus far (to get it set up) will all be worth it.

I will post as impartially as I can, but please be advised that I've had some of these books in my library for 20+ years. For them to live on my shelves for that long, I'm obviously not going to give them failing grades. At the same time, I will try to be as fair and impartial as possible when handing out my final ratings. These ratings are final, and non-negotiable. If you think that a specific book should be rated higher, please feel free to do so... on your own blog!

Now, let's read together!
